Does bacitracin ointment help reduce acne and or acne scars?

I have acne scars on the "apple" of my cheeks and that has always been my problem area for acne. The scars just don’t seem to fade away! It’s a bit of an embarrassment and quite frankly, not very attractive. I have Bacitraycin brand bacitracin with moisturizing aloe (my cheeks do tend to get very dry, I have noticed). Will the bacitracin ointment help reduce my acne and or acne scars? And another thing, will bacitracin clog the pores on my skin?

No matter what age you are, acne can be embarrassing–especially when it happens during adult years. After all, you probably thought that the acne would stop when you left puberty and here you are, dealing with spots and bumps all over again. Fortunately, there are some effective home treatments for acne, such as those that follow.

To help keep your skin clean and clear of dead skin cells, try using an exfoliant. By applying this to your face daily, you can help to clean out the oil and dead cells that get trapped in your pores, which then causes blackheads to appear. Inflamed blackheads can turn into red pimples. So to stop this problem from spreading, it helps to use an exfoliant. You can either buy an exfoliating product at the store or make a simple and effective one at home. Try applying a mixture of oatmeal, molasses, and olive oil to your skin. Your acne can be cleared up by keeping your face clean between treatments.

No matter what acne treatments you are using, it’s important to keep the face as clean as possible.

You should avoid harsh chemicals which can contribute to the problem as well as wash your face on a regular basis. It is a good idea to use soaps that are unscented and natural. Use makeup, cologne, and perfumes minimally as the chemicals in these products can cause a bad reaction on your skin. It may be a good idea to avoid makeup entirely when dealing with an acne problem. When you keep your skin clean and don’t expose it to harmful chemicals, your acne will clear up faster.

A common mistake many people make is to pick at their acne or squeeze their pimples. The fact is, this actually makes the condition worse, as this often creates more infections and causes sebum to spread, which creates more pimples. That’s how you can go from having one or two pimples to lots more, by picking at them or breaking them. You need to avoid touching your pimples in addition to your other acne treatments. Your acne will disappear faster if you can avoid touching the pimples. Acne is a common skin condition that effects most people at some point in their lives. Eating a healthy diet, practicing good hygiene, and following the previous suggestions you can help get rid of acne. Remember to be patient, as well, as acne treatments can take several weeks to work.
