Can asthma cause someone not to sleep well for two months.?

I have not slept much in the last two months, ever since I had strep throat, I often feel tired and like I am going to fall over. I have been tested for several things including mono. Can asthma not being under control be the reason for this?

Yes, absolutly it makes your body fatuged . Your body probably hasn’t recovered from being sick . What really helps for energy is B-12 injections every mo. from the doc. that will hepl with the tiredness . Melitonin is over the counter it works good when you can’t sleep and is all natural , get the 3 ml. Not the 300 mcg. there’s a big differance .

is asthma isn’t under control obviously it will cause breathing difficulties. as a safty precaution if you are breathing hard when you sleep your body will wake you up so you can sort yourself out, otherwise it would be to easy to die in your sleep.

If you arnt waking up short of breath it might well be something else, maybe just plain old exhaustion?

as for the strep throat? If you mean sore, it is more than likely due to you sleeping with your mouth open, this causes air to go in through your mouth more and it drys your mouth and throat out. Hope it helps

Have they tested you for sleep apnea? This causes sleep deprivation and fatigue. I know someone with asthma who was tested and now they sleep with a CPAP. It’s a special mask with O2. It helps protect them when they stop breathing at night. The air/oxygen flow is continuous.
    Hope this helps.
