Friday, August 6th, 2010I recently found out that my mother has type 2 diabetes. Its something that runs in our family plus she’s over weight and is obviously in the process of losing. Still, I like to be told straight up the dangers or what may happen with things. So be honest.
What does diabetes actually do, how is it caused, and what causes it?

Is eating rice and noodles a risk for diabetes?
Thursday, August 5th, 2010Most of the time, I eat rice and noodles along with vegetables and lean meat as a part of my culture. (chicken and fish)
I heard that rice and noodles could lead to diabetes. Is this true?
Also, I eat a lot of fruits at home, and excercise regularly.

Thursday, August 5th, 2010Had to do a fasting for my glucose reading because it was higher than normal. Went and got 190 something. Doctor then referred me to someone and talked about getting meds for at Krogers and having Diabetes classes. However, she did not just straight out say if I had it or not. Should this be assumed right this second or wait painfully until I see the other doctor?
