People sometimes confuse thirst with hunger. So you can end up eating extra calories when an ice-cold glass of water is really what you need. If you don’t like plain water, try adding citrus or a splash of juice, or brew infused teas like mango or peach, which have lots of flavor but no calories. Best Diet Tip No. 2: Think about what you can add to your diet, not what you should take away. Start by focusing on getting the recommended 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables each day. It sounds like a lot, but it is well worth it, because at the same time you are meeting your fiber goals and feeling more satisfied from the volume of food. You’re also less likely to overeat because fruits and vegetables displace fat in the diet. And that’s not to mention the health benefits of fruits and vegetables. More than 200 studies have documented the disease-preventing qualities of phytochemicals found in produce. Work vegetables into meals instead of just serving them as sides on a plate. Best Diet Tip No. 3: Consider whether you’re really hungry. Whenever you feel like eating, look for physical signs of hunger. Hunger is your body’s way of telling you that you need fuel, so when a craving doesn’t come from hunger, eating will never satisfy it. When you’re done eating, you should feel better — not stuffed …
I’m turning 18 so I won’t have any insurance..
But I have mild acne and I’m thinking of visiting a dermatologist..but I’m unsure of expenses. How much would a visit be? And medication?
I’ve tried lots of different products over time but everything just seems to make it worse..
I live in Illinois by the way, if that helps.
About what would the price range be?
I currently use Clindamycin and Tretinoin for my acne. They are a piece with my insurance. I am trying to cut coast, so what acne prescription should I ask my doctor for that will keep my face clear? I do not want a pill, a gel or cream is preferred.
I’ve always been prone to breakouts, but in the last few weeks it seems I am breaking out differently – they are painful and more pus filled.
I had impetigo long ago, and I remembered that it looked like acne, but not much more.
I dont have insurance so going to the doctor on a whim isn’t cool – how can I tell the difference between the two? Because I would go for one, but not the other
Thanks
What is a healthy diet for a first time mom?
Thursday, January 27th, 2011I’m 19 and I’m a big girl 230 pounds and I’m 5’2 and I’m pregnant with my first a couple weeks possibly. I don’t have health insurance yet but I was just wondering what a healthy diet would be while pregnant cause clearly my diet wasn’t healthy before I NEVER have motivation to exercise before pregnancy either. So you know big girls like to eat but what should I be eating? Please and thanks for the answers and no rude comments.
